29 Years Young...

It was my 29th birthday on June 25th. And I did absolutely nothing. Hubby had to work and my parents were way at a family wedding. My in-laws stopped over to say hello and gave me some lovely flowers and a present ($). Hubby already gave me my gift, a Pandora bracelet! I already have two charms (one for my bday and one because I change the majority of the diapers). My early bday gift was an Iphone from my parents and it is one of my favorite presents of all time. Evie and I were able to go out to Target, where I promptly bought three things for her. Lol, that is the way you roll when you are a mom. Evie is doing well...she gave me the best present. She slept through the night! She has been sleeping 4 to 6 hours a night since her month check up.

We have been busy here. Hubby is working a lot and I have been trying to keep Evelyn entertained during the rainy days. She went to her first big party over Father's Day weekend and did okay. Got really cranky about half way through due to the hot weather and the fact she had not had a nap all day. She is growing still and has out grown most of her 0-3 onesies because Evie is just too long for them. Our next trip is to my in-laws to use their pool. I'm going to stick Evie's feet in and see how she likes it. Then another party in July and in August we are taking Evelyn to Maine! I can not wait. Nor can I believe how fast the summer is going. I dread returning to work and not getting to spend time with my cuddle bug. Oops got to run, Evelyn is awake and fussy. Here is a picture of her smile to brighten your days.

Growing..

Evelyn had her 1 month check up on Friday and she is growing like a weed. She know weighs 9lbs and 6oz. Also she is now 22 and 1/2 inches long. Her height is in the 85% percentile and her weight is average. The doctor said Evelyn will probably be tall and lean (just like Mommy). Evelyn is also beginning to smile, coo, and has really good head control. She can lift her head up high when on her stomach. And she loves to wiggle, kick, move, and even rolled onto her side once or twice. It is just so amazing to see how much Evelyn has changed and grown in such a short time. I love spending time with her and taking pictures. We try to take a walk every day (weather permitting) and Evee loves going in her stroller. She is just a pleasant baby and I love being her Mom.

One Month Old

Little Evee (pronounced E-Vee) is one month old today! She is just the sweetest baby ever. Evelyn loves to cuddle, do tummy time, take walks, and read with both Mommy and Daddy. No major problems so far (knock on wood). Although Evelyn did get fussy when the weather went from 60 degrees to 90 + humidity. Her little body was not used to the sudden heat and stickiness. Yesterday was really bad, the weather in MA went crazy. We had severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. At one point all three of us were hiding in the laundry room in the basement because the storms were right on top of us. Mommy did give in and break out the pacifier just to calm her down. Then she fed and went right to sleep through the worst of the storms. I love the fact that I get to spend my days playing with her and watching her grow. We are hoping to take Evee for her first big outing later this month. We are also looking forward to going up to my family's cabin in Maine in August so Evee can met her uncle (my brother). So things are well in our household and Evelyn is still as cute as ever.
